Student Research Symposium

 

The 6th Annual Student Research Symposium will be held in Québec City on October 13, 2010 in conjunction with the Annual Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) Canada Chapter Conference:

October 13 - 15, 2010 ♦ Québec City, Québec

“Research on the Road to Recovery”

Both graduate and undergraduate students are invited to make submissions relating to their research in the areas of tourism and hospitality management.

Both IN PROGRESS and COMPLETED PAPERS will be accepted. Completed Papers should include the purpose of the study, a brief review of the literature, methods, findings/discussion/implications, and conclusions.  'In Progress' papers should include the purpose of the study, a brief review of the relevant literature, (proposed) research methods, and expected outcome.

Abstract Submission Format

  1. Length of each submission should not exceed 2 SINGLE-SPACED pages (750 -1000 words) plus cover page, references, and tables & figures.
  2. In the preparation of the paper for other format items not covered above such as Tables, Figures, References, and Acknowledgements, consult the APA manual (version 5).
  3. Your cover page should include your name, position, organization, and email address.
  4. Submissions can be in French or English.
  5. Also, please submit your brief bio, from 100 - 150 words, written in the third-party tense.
  6. Submissions should be sent electronically to Dr. Chris Choi (tourismcanada@gmail.com)

Authorship

Authorship can include names of the graduate or undergraduate student(s) and a faculty member(s). However, a student MUST be the primary author.

 

Accepted papers will be included in the 2010 TTRA Canada Conference Proceedings.

 

THE IMPORTANT DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION ARE:

Deadline for abstract submissions:                          July 20, 2010

Announcement of accepted papers:                         August 20, 2010

Deadline for the final paper submission:                September 15, 2010
