TTRA Canada Annual Conference October 13-15, 2010, Quebec City

It’s almost here – the 2010 TTRA Canada conference – and this year’s event promises to be an informative and valuable professional experience. Research on the Road to Recovery will provide opportunities to network as only one can in historic Québec City, from the Réception de Bienvenue to the Soirée Festive à Québec.

As the only event in Canada where practitioners, academics, and students converge to share their travel and tourism research expertise, the TTRA board has put together a program to feature Canada’s leading agencies and professionals.  François Bédard will share his experience as director-general of the World Centre of Excellence for Destinations. Discover the research behind Parks Canada’s new brand, and the innovative methods of the professionals from Harris/Decima, Ipsos, TNS and more. Emerging challenges to Canada’s system of tourism statistics will be debated by an expert team representing the CTC, CTRI, destinations, academics and industry in a panel that is sure to generate some heat! From voluntourism to sustainability, sessions will tackle meaningful topics, with lots of time for Q&A. We’ll end with a plenary reflecting the lessons learnt from the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. Or perhaps you’ll decide to stay for the après conference!
